Decarbonizing ICT: Leadership Dialogue for Climate Action & Circularity
On average, more than 75% of life cycle greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from ICT products occur upstream in the supply chain. At the same time, the rapid growth of AI is driving increased demand for data centers, along with mounting pressure to track and reduce the embodied carbon of the ICT and MEP equipment they rely on. Circularity is emerging as a critical strategy to address these impacts, but for many companies, the question remains: where do they begin?
This curated two part workshop will convene ICT and MEP manufacturers, climate leaders, embodied carbon and circularity experts, and representatives from the Global Electronics Council (GEC) and the Circular Electronics Partnership (CEP). Together, they will explore how tools, standards, and circular approaches can align to accelerate ICT and MEP decarbonization. Attendees will learn about current work to improve tracking and measurement of embodied carbon in ICT and MEP, gain insights from leading industry programs and companies, and get a preview of CEP’s forthcoming Carbon Impacts of Circular Initiatives report. Most of the session will be dedicated to open dialogue and problem-solving, with the goal to identify practical strategies and inform a shared roadmap to be further developed and released in the future.
This event is a invitation only with limited seats available.
