Today GEC is issuing interim corrections to the EPEAT® Climate Change Mitigation Criteria which enable an improved process of getting products added to the EPEAT Product Registry. Following the public comment period, which was launched on March 20 and closed on April 18, 2025, a balanced Corrections Committee reached agreement by voluntary consensus on Interim Corrections for EPEAT Climate Change Mitigation Criteria.
These Interim Corrections, requested by the EPEAT conformity assurance team, are intended to correct minor errors, omissions and outdated references that impede criteria implementation. The corrections do not revisit technical content upon which the NSF International Technical Committee reached consensus.
