As an organization dedicated to advancing sustainable practices in the electronics industry and beyond, GEC is thrilled to be the newest Supporting Organization of the Circular and Fair ICT Pact (CFIT). CFIT is a global initiative dedicated to advancing circularity, fairness, and sustainability in the ICT sector.

GEC looks forward to collaborating with other CFIT supporters to pursue our shared objectives, such as advocating for user-friendly sustainable procurement criteria, fostering the exchange of knowledge, and empowering procurers with decision making information. GEC’s Type 1 electronics ecolabel and online registry, EPEAT, will be central to these efforts.

In the words of GEC’s CEO, Bob Mitchell, “our decision to engage with CFIT stems from a profound belief in the power of collaboration to drive transformative change. GEC is poised to share its extensive knowledge and experience, recognizing that a collective effort is paramount in realizing our shared aspirations. Embracing CFIT’s dedication to serving as a collaborative platform and hub for information exchange, GEC is eager to contribute meaningfully and glean insights through ongoing interactions with fellow CFIT members.”

GEC is excited to announce this new and dynamic partnership and to work together with CFIT to accelerate the transition to a world in which only sustainable technology is bought and sold.
