The “Using Ecolabels for Sustainable Procurement” Innovation Accelerator Roundtable (IAR) is a formal presentation to educate participants about the benefits of using ecolabels and best practices for implementing ecolabels in their organizations.
The session will include an introduction to ecolabels, a review of available ecolabels, the benefits of using ecolabels in procurement, how to incorporate ecolabels into the procurement process, and highlights of the EPEAT Type 1 ecolabel. The session may include a summary of benefits and a Q&A session.
Global Electronics Council (GEC) manages ecolabels to assist purchasers in identifying credible sustainable technology products and services. GEC’s EPEAT ecolabel is the leading Type 1 ecolabel covering products and services from the technology sector.
