How can circular design principles be effectively integrated into the electronics industry to achieve systems-change?
In an industry marked by rapid innovation and consumption, embracing circularity in electronics is paramount — not only for mitigating environmental impact through waste and resource extraction, but also for fostering innovation, resilience and long-term viability within the industry. The Circular Electronics Partnership, in collaboration with Accenture, is set to publish the Circular Design Handbook for Electronics which bridges the gap between the vision for circularity and clear strategic and executional direction. Co-created with industry experts, the handbook will offer comprehensive guidance for applying circular principles to the electronics industry, marrying technical know-how with the essential enabling conditions for success. In this session, we’ll offer a behind the scenes look at the handbook and hear from leaders shaping the future of circular design in electronics.

サステナビリティ基準開発担当ディレクターとして、GECエコラベル製品カテゴリーのライフサイクル、科学的根拠に基づくサステナビリティ基準、および持続可能な調達を可能にするその他のGECツールやリソースの開発を主導しています。
環境、健康、安全、サステナビリティの分野で25年以上の専門的な経験を持つ。 特に、環境政策と規格開発では、オリジナルのIEEE 1680.2画像機器規格の開発にステークホルダーとして参加し、EPEATエコラベルの環境配慮型材料サブグループ（IEEE 1680.2/1680.3 複合ワーキンググループ）の共同議長も務めています。また、職場における化学物質曝露リスク評価の実施、環境・健康・安全監査チームの指導、製品の環境コンプライアンス（特にE-waste、化学物質規制、エコラベル）の促進にも経験があります。過去10年間は、ICT産業における製品環境問題（エコデザインから耐用年数まで）の合意政策ポジションの策定と伝達を、分野や地域を越えて行ってきた。
GEC入社以前は、情報技術産業協会（ITI）の政策担当シニアディレクターなどを務め、直近ではデル・テクノロジーズの製品環境規制担当シニアエンジニアを務めた。ロチェスター工科大学で学士号、ロチェスター大学で修士号、ジョンズ・ホプキンス大学で国際公共政策（MIPP）修士号（環境政策専攻）を取得しています。
