GEC’s draft Reduction of Chemicals of Concern criteria will be released for public comment the week of July 11th. The public comment period, open for 60 days, is an opportunity for all interested stakeholders to provide feedback on the draft criteria. Criteria will focus on addressing chemicals of concern in the product and packaging and used in manufacturing, as well as identifying and using safer alternatives. These criteria are one of several sustainability impact modules under development that will apply to all EPEAT ICT product categories in 2023, replacing existing criteria.
A notice will appear in the EPEAT Announcements and GEC Newsletter when the public comment period opens. If you’d like to receive direct notification by email, please send your contact information to Rachel Simon (rsimon@gec.org).
