Today, GEC published Interim Corrections to the Ultra-Low Carbon Solar Criteria (EPEAT – ULCS – 2023) for Photovoltaic Modules and Inverters (PVMI). These Interim Corrections provide additional clarity on documentation and verification requirements for manufacturers and conformity assessment bodies to ensure credible and consistent conformity assessment. Interim Corrections are indicated by gray highlight in the document. All Interim Corrections are considered informative until their formal adoption during the next criteria revision process.
These Interim Corrections were developed under the GEC Criteria Development Process (P74), Section 2.6.3. These provisional corrections are intended to address in a timely manner, minor errors, omissions and outdated references that impede Criteria implementation. For the Interim Corrections for the ULCS Criteria, GEC was pleased to re-convene the Technical Committee that developed the initial criteria to serve as the Corrections Committee to review and reach consensus on proposed Interim Corrections
